Former Plan of Apartment

Here's what the layout of the apartment was before the work began. It was built in the 1860's with an interesting history. Part of the Passage Verdeau, the last people who owned the apartment lived here for 65 years. During this time, Mr. Kohon ran his tailoring business out of the 125m³ apartment. Mrs. Kohon lost her husband during the heat wave that hit France in 2003 and her family decided to sell. During the transaction, Mrs. Kohon explained that it was too big for them, thus the reason for all of the extra walls and rooms they had. I'm sure it was to accomodate the workers who also used the apartment. (You can click on the photo above to have a better view).
